Korean conglomerate LG Electronics is drawing interest for creating a completely new ‘Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’.
Online video players that collect and play footage of top celebrities is nothing new, but it’s rare for a large corporation to actually utilize these players.
With their new ‘Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’, LG Electronics has made it possible for consumers to gather footage of their favorite Girls’ Generation members, creating and editing their very own video! There are also a total of 36 undisclosed videos of Girls’ Generation, and LG also offers the option of sharing newly created videos via Social Networking Services.
A representative of LG Electronics remarked, “The Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’ offers consumers the option of creating their own unique video footage, and we hope that through this new option, we will be able to help consumers better understand 3D TV.”

Actress Shin Se Kyung discussed her friendship with members of Girls’ Generation on June 9th’s broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘.
The star sat down for an interview to discuss her surprise transformation into a singer, and mentioned that the song she loves to sing most is by Girls’ Generation.
She added, “Some of the Girls’ Generation members are my friends. I go to the same university as Sooyoung so we were already friends, and I got closer to Yuri unni after we both worked together in the drama ‘Fashion King‘.”
When asked if she met with the members a lot, Shin Se Kyung answered honestly, “Since they’re part of a global girl group, [they don’t have much] time to meet up.”
A photo of Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon and Seohyun goofing around has surfaced on the internet.
The above photo of the girls striking hilarious poses in fashionable heart-shaped sunglasses was recently shared on an online community site.
Netizens got a good laugh after seeing the photo, and were glad to see a silly side to Seohyun who is known for being proper and ladylike.
“They’re too cute,” fans wrote in response, along with “I love Hyoyeon on Dancing With The Stars’“, “Look at Seohyun!”, and more.
Girls’ Generation has broken through the “Million” plateau in Japan.
Their self-titled debut Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation‘ which was released back on June 1st, 2011 (Repackaged Album December 28, 2011) has been certified “Million” by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (or ‘RIAJ’). The certification is based off the total numbers of CDs and DVDs sold to retailers and the RIAJ has certifications of: Gold (100,000 units), Platinum (250,000 units), Double Platinum (500,000 units), Triple Platinum (750,000 units), and Million (1,000,000 units).
This is quite an accomplishment as the only other Korean artist to be certified Million for an album was BoA who last achieved this back in 2005 with her compilation album ‘Best of Soul‘. KARA‘s second Japanese album ‘Super Girl‘ could be the next to be certified Million as they achieved the Triple Platinum certification.
In related news, Girls’ Generation is set to release their upcoming Japanese single “PAPARAZZI” on June 27th.
