CNBLUE set to leave for London concert

Band CNBLUE is set to leave for their first live concert in London on the 20th.

On September 22, the band will hold their ‘CNBLUE Live in London‘ performance at IndigO2.

A representative of CJ E&M‘s global content division stated, “Most of the tickets for this show have been sold. There are only a few standing tickets available. For their first show in London, this is an impressive ticket sale.

CNBLUE also gave a statement through their agency FNC entertainment:It’s like a dream to perform in the home of rock, England. We have always wanted to go there, and to be able to perform there makes us all happy. We believe we will overcome the language barrier and connect through music. Since this is our first visit to London, we are nervous, but we promise to do our best to show everyone an amazing performance.

After their London performance, CNBLUE will be touring in Japan from October 2 to the 21st for their ‘CNBLUE Arena Tour 2012-COME ON‘.

Korean conglomerate LG Electronics is drawing interest for creating a completely new Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’.

Online video players that collect and play footage of top celebrities is nothing new, but it’s rare for a large corporation to actually utilize these players.

With their new ‘Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’, LG Electronics has made it possible for consumers to gather footage of their favorite Girls’ Generation members, creating and editing their very own video! There are also a total of 36 undisclosed videos of Girls’ Generation, and LG also offers the option of sharing newly created videos via Social Networking Services.

A representative of LG Electronics remarked, “The Girls’ Generation 3D TV Player’ offers consumers the option of creating their own unique video footage, and we hope that through this new option, we will be able to help consumers better understand 3D TV.”

[News] Shin Se Kyung discusses her friendship with Girls’ Generation

Actress Shin Se Kyung discussed her friendship with members of Girls’ Generation on June 9th’s broadcast of KBS2‘s ‘Entertainment Relay‘.

The star sat down for an interview to discuss her surprise transformation into a singer, and mentioned that the song she loves to sing most is by Girls’ Generation.

She added, “Some of the Girls’ Generation members are my friends. I go to the same university as Sooyoung so we were already friends, and I got closer to Yuri unni after we both worked together in the drama ‘Fashion King‘.”

When asked if she met with the members a lot, Shin Se Kyung answered honestly, “Since they’re part of a global girl group, [they don’t have much] time to meet up.”

Netizens got a good laugh after seeing the photo, and were glad to see a silly side to Seohyun who is known for being proper and ladylike.

[News] Girls’ Generation’s debut Japanese album certified “Million” by RIAJ

Girls’ Generation has broken through the “Million” plateau in Japan.

Their self-titled debut Japanese album ‘Girls’ Generation‘ which was released back on June 1st, 2011 (Repackaged Album December 28, 2011) has been certified “Million” by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (or ‘RIAJ’). The certification is based off the total numbers of CDs and DVDs sold to retailers and the RIAJ has certifications of: Gold (100,000 units), Platinum (250,000 units), Double Platinum (500,000 units), Triple Platinum (750,000 units), and Million (1,000,000 units).

This is quite an accomplishment as the only other Korean artist to be certified Million for an album was BoA who last achieved this back in 2005 with her compilation album ‘Best of Soul‘. KARA‘s second Japanese album ‘Super Girl‘ could be the next to be certified Million as they achieved the Triple Platinum certification.

In related news, Girls’ Generation is set to release their upcoming Japanese single “PAPARAZZI” on June 27th.

[News] CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa “Juniel junior, she’s already 20 … it’s amazing”

Idol band CNBlue’s Jung Yong Hwa revealed his affection for Juniel who came from the same agency.
In the afternoon on 7th June, the showcase was held at Seoul Art Centre to commemorate the Korean debut of Juniel. At the showcase, besides the protagonist Juniel, there is also CNBLUE Jung Yong Hwa came to support her.
Especially, they perform live duet song “Fool” which Yong Hwa composed for Juniel. He said “Juniel has talents and she is a girl who also has big passion for music” , “I met Juniel 5 years ago, and it is amazing that she is already 20 years old”
Juniel send her thanks to him “Thank to senior Jung Yong Hwa for his gift “Fool” which really suit with my voice. Jung Yong Hwa said “Thank to Juniel for singing my composition “Fool” so well” , to demonstrate the friendship between senior and junior.
Juniel also added “I met senior Jung Yong Hwa  since I was still a trainer and we talked” “I hope one day we can climb on the stage together, so this time is an opportunity” and “Especially, I’m really happy because i can add his song into my Korean debut album”
At the showcase, broadcaster Jung Ji Young asked “Among CNBLUE members, who take care of juniors the most” and Juniel answered “I can’t tell one person because everyone took care of us so well and they have different characteristics”
Juniel was the winner on Niji Iro Supernova, the Japanese version of Korean audition program “Super Star K” and she debuted in Japan first. On 7th June, Juniel released her first Korean solo album “My First June” with 5 songs including title track “Illa Illa” and “Fool”, “Ready and Go”, “Everlasting Sunset” and “Mask”

[News] Girls’ Generation releases details + track list for “Paparazzi”

In the span of just 2-days Shoujo Jidai has been releasing information on their upcoming Japanese single “PAPARAZZI” in pieces.

The news of their upcoming single “PAPARAZZI” was first released on the girls’ Japanese mobile site. After revealing the PV teaser and preview, they also revealed two promotional photos. Now the group has released the single jackets and track lists for the single.

As previously mentioned the single has been described as a strong dance tune, and to match the song, Shoujo Jidai’s choreography will include a ‘camera shutter’ move while also being chased around by paparazzi.

“PAPARAZZI” will be released on June 27th.

[News] TaeTiSeo Praises Taeyeon’s Vocals

Girls’ Generation TaeTiSeo has dubbed Taeyeon a possessor of “selfish” vocals.

On June 1 broadcast of “Yoo Hee Yul’s Sketchbook,” Tiffany highly praised Taeyeon’s skills. “Taeyeon is born with it,” she said. “Our singing parts naturally increased as we began our subunit, but as I keep listening to Taeyeon’s singing, I can only think that she’s simply born with it. It’s almost ‘selfish’ in a way!”

MC Yoo also agreed that all the high notes seem to be sung by Taeyeon. Taeyeon humbly replied, “I’m embarrassed. It’s not to that extent.”

[News] TaeTiSeo choose Sunny as the Girls’ Generation member who’s best at “acting pretty”

Girls’ Generation sub-unit TaeTiSeo chose Sunny as the group member who’s best at “acting pretty”.

TaeTiSeo guested on the June 1st broadcast of KBS 2TV‘s ‘Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook‘, and was asked by the host, “Isn’t there one member in Girls’ Generation who really loves acting pretty, [even if she stands out because of it]?” Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun unanimously voted for Sunny.

They explained, “She winks with both eyes and moves her shoulders up and down,” while Tiffany demonstrated the way that Sunny would perform during their hit song “Gee“.

Seohyun also mentioned that she would monitor Sunny’s performances to learn. The girls then agreed, “That kind of performance from Sunny definitely helps Girls’ Generation.”

The girls of TaeTiSeo also had the chance to have solo performances of pop songs on the same episode.
